Draw a card from the deck online
Draw a random card from a standard 52-card deck with one tap. The deck is shuffled with cryptographic randomness; each draw removes one card from the deck and the same card never comes up twice. Your drawn cards stack up below so you can see which cards have appeared so far.
Where can you use it?
Whenever you need a card deck and don't have one to hand:
- Card game openings: Poker, bridge, whist, rummy or solitaire — for first hands and dealing order.
- Random question or topic picks: Presentation practice, revision sessions, ice-breakers — one card = one topic.
- Truth or Dare parties: Red for truth, black for dare — set the rules and let the deck decide.
- Art and creative prompts: Writers pick a random character card, artists a random colour, musicians a random key.
- Classroom probability: Maths and statistics lessons — real deck feel without shuffling paper.
- Pub games and party classics: Kings Cup, Ride the Bus, drinking game replacements with a virtual deck.
Frequently asked questions
Can the same card come up twice?
No. Once one of the 52 cards is drawn it won’t come up again; each draw shrinks the deck by one. When the deck runs out, or any time you like, you can reshuffle with “Reset”.
Is the deck really shuffled at random?
Yes. The deck is shuffled with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator; no card’s position is known in advance.
How do I clear the drawn cards?
Tap the “Reset” link at the top right of the drawn-cards box; the deck reshuffles and the list of drawn cards clears.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers; draw by tapping the card or using the button.
Are jokers included?
No. The tool uses a standard 52-card deck; jokers are not included.
What can I use this for?
Card games where a random pick is needed, magic tricks, children’s games, deciding turn order, or "who goes first" style decisions. Also useful for tarot-style personal readings.
Are my results or game activity stored?
No. Results and game state stay in your browser and are not sent to or permanently stored on a server. Refreshing or closing the page resets the session.
Does it take up storage on my device?
No, it takes up no storage at all. Online Kura is not a downloaded app; it runs entirely in your browser and nothing is installed on your phone or computer. If you like, you can add it to your home screen and use it like an app — with none of the storage.
How do I add Online Kura to my phone’s home screen?
iPhone (Safari): open the page, tap the Share icon and choose “Add to Home Screen”. Android (Chrome): open the three-dot menu at the top right and tap “Add to Home screen” (or “Install app”). Then you can open Online Kura like an app with one tap.
