Online Kura

Privacy Policy

Find out what data we collect, how we use it and what your rights are.

This Privacy Policy explains what data may be processed when you visit onlinekura.com (the “Site”), why it may be used and what choices or rights may be available to you. For privacy requests, contact hello@onlinekura.com.

1. Information entered into the tools

Names, candidate lists and similar tool inputs are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our server for the purpose of making a selection and are not recorded by us unless you separately submit information through the suggestion form. Tool inputs are generally removed when you refresh or close the page.

2. Browser storage and cookies

The Site may use localStorage to remember your theme and certain interface preferences, and sessionStorage to avoid repeating a mobile navigation hint within the same tab session. These records are not intended to identify you directly. You can remove or block site data through your browser settings.

Third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement, security, ad delivery, frequency capping and, where permitted, advertising personalisation.

3. Technical usage data and server logs

Google Analytics may process aggregated usage information such as pages viewed, sessions, interactions, approximate location, device, browser and screen type. Hosting and security systems may also retain technical logs containing an IP address, request time, requested URL and user agent for operation, security and error investigation.

4. Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps us understand how the Site is used. Its default implementation may collect user and session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. Google's own terms and privacy controls govern its processing and retention. See the Google Privacy Policy for more information.

5. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

Ads may be served by Google AdSense and Google's advertising technology partners. Google and other third-party vendors may provide personalised ads based on previous visits, or non-personalised ads based on contextual signals such as page content and approximate location. Non-personalised ads may still use cookies for frequency capping and aggregated reporting.

6. Suggestion form

Data collected: suggestion type, title, description and, if you choose to provide them, your name and email address.

Purpose: to evaluate the suggestion, prevent abuse and reply if contact details are provided. Suggestion data is not sold or used for advertising targeting.

IP and spam protection: the raw IP address is not attached to the suggestion record. A temporary hash derived from the IP address may be retained with timestamps for up to one hour to limit abuse. Separate technical logs maintained by the hosting server may still contain an IP address.

Retention: suggestion records are kept for up to six months. The text of ideas considered useful may be retained for internal planning for longer after the name and email address have been removed.

Service providers: hosting and email providers may technically process the data to store the submission and deliver email. Suggestion records are kept in a restricted server location that is not intended for public access.

7. Purposes and legal bases

Data may be processed to provide and secure the Site, remember preferences, measure performance, display advertising, meet legal obligations and respond to requests. Depending on the applicable law, processing may rely on providing the service, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent where consent is required.

8. Your privacy rights

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, and depending on where you live, you may have rights to be informed, access personal data, request correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that a request concerns you.

9. Data security and sensitive information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited data we receive, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely risk-free. Do not submit passwords, payment information, identity numbers, health information or other sensitive personal data through the form or email.

10. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the services or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page. Send privacy questions, including access, correction or deletion requests, to hello@onlinekura.com.
